Certified Sterile Processing Technician
The Certified Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for performing and supporting all aspects of decontamination, cleaning, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable surgical instruments and equipment. This role ensures the highest standards of patient safety and confidentiality while consistently demonstrating professional conduct in alignment with established organizational standards and expectations.
Essential Functions
Adheres to strict Universal Precautions and Blood-Borne Pathogens protocol
Maintains highest standard of sterile technique, when applicable
Assists in maintaining a safe and aseptic environment for patient and staff
Practices good judgement in determining appropriate actions and exhibits control in emergency situations
Strives to become and remain proficient in all aspects of employment by participating in educational opportunities
Delivers care according to established organizational goals and objectives
Participates in the QA/QI program by assisting in the planning and implementation of creative approaches to patient care
Utilizes good judgment in organizing and establishing patient care priorities, working within time constraints to keep the operative schedule flowing smoothly
Ensures all surgical instruments are in useful and effective working condition
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of Sterile Processing class
Certified as a CSPDT
At least one year Sterile Processing experience
Preferred Education and Experience
BLS certification

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, no weekends or holidays

Operating Room Nurse / Registered Nurse
The Operating Room Nurse is accountable for patients during the course of their perioperative experience. Surgical specialties currently include: general surgery, ophthalmology, endoscopies, and bariatric, and we are looking to add more specialties in the future. The right candidate will demonstrate technical and operational knowledge and is able to apply these skills in the clinical setting. The ability to collaborate with physicians and ancillary services as well as work in a team environment is a must.
Essential Functions:
Maintains highest standard of sterile technique, when applicable
Performs surgical counts with circulator, when applicable
Keeps proficient and knowledgeable of surgeon’s needs, techniques and requirements, as well as always anticipating the surgeon’s needs in either the scrub or circulating role
Assists in maintaining a safe and aseptic environment for patient and staff
Uses proper technique for specimens and cultures, as directed by the policies and procedures
Administers drugs and manages drug-related problems that may occur
Contains knowledge of anesthetic agents, techniques, actions and interactions
Demonstrates arrhythmia recognition and treatment
Collaborate with staff and health care professionals to ensure customer satisfaction and shared goals are achieved.
Required Education and Experience
Current licensure as an RN in the State of Delaware
1 year prior Operating Room experience
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing
2 years prior Operating Room experience

PreOp/PACU Nurse
The primary role of the PreOp & PACU Nurse is to provide continuity of care to meet individual patient needs. This role entails assuming responsibility and accountability of the patient with proper collaboration from other health care providers. The ability to administer diligent care to outpatients via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment. The post-anesthesia care unit nurse (PACU nurse) will provide care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local.

Possesses an exceptional understanding of operating room processes, patient flow, patient care coordination, and physician relationships
Strong professional, organizational, interpersonal skills and creative leadership in working with all levels of the organization, as well as patients and their families
Ability to manage multiple priorities, organize tasks, and maintain control of work flow
Demonstrates a clear understanding of regulations applicable to surgical centers and patient care
Skill in negotiation and conflict resolution.

Pre-Op can range from 5:00am-1:30pm and as late as 6:30am-3:00pm
PACU can range from 7:30am-4:00pm and as late as 12:00pm-8:30pm

Surgical Technologist
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team in our new Bear, Delaware location. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in surgical procedures, patient care, and sterile techniques, with experience in diverse clinical settings. As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for providing support to the surgeon during operative procedures through passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for anticipating the surgeon’s needs, having a clear understanding of the instruments and the usage of each instrument. The Surgical Technologist is also expected to maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
Essential Functions
Maintains proficiency and knowledge of surgeon’s needs, techniques, and requirements at all times in the scrub or CSR role
Processes and cares for specimens and cultures as directed by set policies
Possesses knowledge of anesthetic agents, techniques, actions and interactions
Delivers care according to established organizational goals and objectives
Maintains surgical instruments in good working condition
Processes and sterilizes instruments and equipment according to manufacturer’s and AMII recommendations
Replenish sterile supplies as needed
Assists in ordering supplies, maintaining inventories, and storing supplies appropriately.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist School
At least one year of Operating Room experience
Preferred Education and Experience
BLS certification
Cath lab experience
